Tragedy has once again visited in Indiana construction site.  On March 20 6, 2010, 53-year-old Donald Smith died after falling some 30 feet from a roof while working for a project for Keystone Builders.  Apparently, there were coworkers on the roof with Mr. Smith, but they did not see him fall.  The building was located at 321 S. Union St in Warsaw, Indiana.

Fall protection is an essential part of any building project were workers are exposed to a fall in excess of 6 feet. Ideally, the fall protection system will be designed in from the planning stage onward.  OSHA and IOSHA require an employer to have the fall protection system be in place before the construction work begins.
